Hi Gents,
I am interested to know about all the stages for tuning an MR2 Turbo. How many stages does it go up to? the costs involved? The workshops that do these sort of mods, stuff like that?
My ambition is to get my Mr2 within the 350-400 HP range. So I am wondering about all the kinds of work which has to be put into the car and engine to get it to this level.
A link to a thread detailing this topic or an exmaple project with a specs list would be nice. Cheers.

What do you mean stages?
Have you been reading the vdub/euro tuning scene?
They like to do categorise stuff in stages...

Yeah I have, the UK based boards/forums for MR2's.

350-400hp you will need a full rebuild with forged pistons, MLS HG, cams in the 264 range and a gt3076 turbo with fueling, inter cooling and ecu upgrades to support.

which state are you in?

Yeah that sounds similar to what I ve been reading/researching. What kind of price range would all these things fall into??
I would really need some kind of spec sheet though or a list that i can follow from an existing or previous project, as I am not really that accustomed to the products out there.

At the wheels?
Two cars on this forum make over 300rwkws (400 horsepower) look up MR2QIK and SW20 that i can remeber. BEAST also some pretty close

There might be some pages dedicated to these builds here. There should be a spec sheet for them and how they got to that level.
The other 2 that roughl come close
ROBKs IMPOSSIBLE, 279rwkws 267rwkws
DylMRT white SW20, 254rwkws
Beast - 270rwkws http://zorst.com/mr2.htm

Edit: Sorry my numbers are little off and added BEAST from BD4s

Let me make some corrections for you :)  I pulled the motor out of my car about 3 years ago I think and it hasn't run since, perhaps one day.  You can look up my old build thread however its likely a little more then you require.  I did put a fair bit of info in there initially which may be of some assistance.  Remember all the ancillary parts that will be required to support the power also, ie, clutch, injectors, fuel pump, intercooling etc.

Look up the '3SGTE Power Primer'. I've been told its a little bit out of date, but its still a fantastic guide.
