Judging by the pictures. I think your best bet is call it quits with that shell and transfer everything over.

My damage (http://www.mr2australia.c..r2play/fb.ashx?m=77528) is would be classed as a write off and is no where near as substantial as yours.

Is the car in your sig the same one above?

No need to take it off.

What are the specs of your car P am assuming its an import (toblerone indicators)?

NA / Turbo ?
Rev2 / 3?

Anything can be fixed with the right sum of money, sometimes its just not feasible to do it.
I think in the case of your car I think that is the issue.

All my car requires is a bonnet, fender, bumper and headlight assembly. Nothing structural and yet they would deem it a financial loss.

rev 3 turbo import.

I was hoping something like this could be done to it (link). But yeh unsure of the money needed to make it happen though.

That sucks. It definitely looks possible to repair, but I don't think it'd be worth doing so financially. Bit more work than just bolting on a few panels, so you'd probably need a pro to do a bit of work. When the cars themselves aren't worth too much, they get written off easily.

Financial write off yes.

It is only a NA, and as such the market value isnt high.

They did say it was on the borderline, but as some parts may have to be sourced new from Toyota it wouldnt be financially wise to fix it.

Did you have full insurance?

No full comp.

yehh looks like I'm going to have.

1. find a donor and swap everything over.
2. cut and shut the front (are we even allowed to do that here in Victoria?). find the panels and other bits.

Now I'm not sure which one costs more.

Can it drive straight? Cars with a heavy accident sometimes never drive straight ever again so if it can't then def have to move on to a new shell sorry mate
Maybe talk to a panel beater for more insight on what to do next

Well I only had the chance to take it up the drive way, it turns fine, no pulling or any resistance.

I wouldn't think you'd need a 'cut and shut' with that sort of damage.

I'd take it somewhere for a quote, after the quote ask them for a price where you supply all parts. You shouldn't have any problem finding what you need here.

I think the car did it on purpose trying to scrape that veilside (not sure..) thing off its nose.

I guess its comes down to if the car is straight or not, and the cost. If its straight and you are happy with the rest of the car it could be worth saving.
