Bought the car, good deal, good looking car, enjoy driving it, but now this is ridicules.

Problem after problem.

Ive owned 10-15 cars, never have i loved the car as much yet the car continues to fail.

Since ive had it, 4 months or so, the car has problems with:
2 alernators
Abs sensor
Stop switch for brake lights
Hub bearing
Clutch
Gearbox
Afm fail
Alternator belt
Dash lights
...and now sway bar bracket ripped off??!?

Have i got the worst fricken luck or...?
All i hear from mates is "sell sell sell"
Car is not going anywhere but this is bad.

Thoughts on my lengthy whinge..?

Also, gear linkages came off, left me on side of the road, forgot to list that one.
Probably more but that will do.

sounds like a classic mr2... lol. have to expect it with a 20ish year old car, just tough it out man, once you have it all perfect you wont look back.

or you can use that as an excuse to upgrade your sway bar :P

I take it your car is quite a bit modified, Adisco? I can understand issues with older and modified cars, but what would be more worrying is that the MR2 (at any age) is a little less reliable as most other Toyota's in unmodified form. To me this reputation becomes questionable going by a lot of people's issues on here, though I hope others can prove me wrong.

Car is old, but so was r33 skyline. So thats not an excuse for the sway bar to rip off the chaise.

Had few mods, so when turbo, gearbox and clutch fail, that is to my own doing.
But when simple parts thats are original fail, one by one, you start wondering.

TIPSIDEUCE- thats bad man. Ouch! I dont know what to tell ya, spread the word, find the ****ers. :/

Aftermarket sway bars? If so, common/expected problem. I can write a whole list of what else can go wrong (basically what has for me....lol). MR2 ownership :)

This just reads like old car that has not had maintanence to me. I have fixed MR2's that have had even longer more expensive lists too.

If it makes you feel any better E46 M3's rip the whole rear floor section out and the repair bill is alot more than your sway bar mounting.
