Im a maybe Steve for bringing the car and a definite for bringing myself (I still need to put money in your account for this years event!)

No worries Pat, just put the money towards getting across to the mainland. See if you can convince the AW hill climber to come along. He will have a great battle then beers with the 20V AW guys.
I have a friend in Melbourne who may be able to help out but towing your car to Sydney if requried.

I shall be there. As long as I'm not back over in Canada racing another season there.
