I managed to get the timing belt and head on the car. Will have it completed tomorrow morning then a few checks before loading up for the trackday.
Tomorrow night I will be finalizing the groups and adjusting the schedule to suit. It will be three groups instead of four. This allows for more time per session.
We will also test a different layout on the Saturday afternoon and have a chat about it over a beer. There are two I would like to try so will see how the day pans out.
Everyone showing up on Sunday can have their cars inspected and stickered up, ready for the Monday morning.

Pat, that's a great shot mate!
Ethan, plugs will be fine and the oil looks like the right stuff. With the low temps expected, it will be a perfect two days at Wakefield.
Pete, I hope you have a trouble free event. Just keep and eye on your mirrors!
Rob, make sure you have some quality brake fluid. I think you are going to go crazy!
Randomity, great to see you pulled through.

Officially entered, just small crap to finish before the day.

Ethan - 20w50 sounds pretty thick for an na engine. Thicker oil doesn't necessarily give better protection. I always just use 10w40 with no extra additives and engine is in good shape. No blowing smoke or anything.

Does anyone have an oil filter sandwich plate I can buy lol? Bought the Speco one but it's too fat, hardly an clearance around the filter housing. Installing temp sensor on the day if I have too...

quite surprised everyone is so worried about their oil temperatures in their N/A's. Everyone forgetting they ran these cars in Japan (both Gen3 and Beams) in endurace series, and we are doing a sprint at best ;)

I was told yesterday by a regular visitor to Wakefield that fuel can't be purchased at the track and I would have to bring my own for the two day event.  Hence this post, to bring it to the attention to anyone else like myself.

I could find no mention of fuel availability in the "Download info Pack"

Read this from the Wakefield web page.
"Wakefield Park Motorsport has available ET Race Fuel. This is a 102 octane ethanol blend fuel that is 10% ethanol."

Does this mean all MR2 Trackday Challenge entrants who don't wish to use the 102 octane fuel, will have to bring their own ?

We always fill up at the Service stations in Goulburn yes.

Always a good idea to bring a jerry can though.

Will anyone be filming this event? I'd love to see some footage from the day.

Just about everyone will have a GoPro. I'll have to remember to walk around the pits with mine along with some commentary.
