Well you wouldn't with most 3S's. The CT26 falls on its face after 6000rpm....lol Additionally, they have traction @ higher rpm so bouncing is not necessary. Your S5 might be doing alright, but I know plenty of others that aren't. RX7's/rotors throw more enthusiasts into financial hardship than any other car I know. Racesolutions/Maroun are rotary junkees, but even they concede to their faults. Neglect to drive/turn a piston engine frequently & they still last, try that with a rotary

Even with the amount of times your 3S overheated, I bet it's mostly still ok (except the HG of course), your S5 would be worse off in that scenario.
Love rotaries, but all Jap engines have their weak points.
