Ahahah even if you snap it its just to hold it so it dosnt move about whilst driving if you break it make sure it's all tight but if your still worried take it out of the braket and use another bar or socket to wedge against something so it can't move ahah

Other then that zip ties work just aswell as a bracket :p

But if you do happen to break it I could probably find you another one if there's one in Australia
I work in spares at toyota ahah :p and Ill get it for cheap

But yeah fuel pump is a whole nother pita

If mine needs replacing ill try and do it myself if that fails its going to a mechanic ahah probs to the guys at work for cheap rates :p

But I'd try it to learn.
But yeah massive job apparently.
I wouldn't bother with the fuel pump if its been built id say it has a different better pump in it especially if it has different Larger Injectors
Also wouldn't bother until these issues have been sorted
Fuel pumps good ones aren't cheap and nor is the labour if you can't manage it yourself

Especially since you may have a clogged/dirty filter :p

Not saying this will fix everything but if it looks old and it hasn't been replaced in quite a while chances are its clogged
And will help your car plenty especially the rough idle/start issues

Yeah definitely not touching it until the car is running right, but the fuel pump and injectors are stock, that was what I was holding the tune off for.

That's a good job to have when you drive an old Toyota haha.

I just got the fuel filter out from the bottom of my parts. I will let you know if I have to use cable ties to hold it in or I got the new one in lol. Thanks for the help.

All is good man
Yeah haven't had to replace anything yet
Thank god except injector o rings but that's my stupid fault ahah

Just got a genuine gear boot and surround one of the last in aus for 49$ instead of 110$ retail
Came today looks good do prefer the leather one I had but it didn't fit so at least this is genuine and fits all snug. All In all I'm happy.

But yeah don't break anything on purpose just wedge it against the firewall or the block if you have to you won't break those and dosnt matter if you damage the filter it's coming out anyway,
You'll be able to get it just get yourself a nice long bar like I said and it will be easy

Let me guess, when you put the injectors in you damaged the o rings?

Oooooh I was going to ask about the gear stick surround in the last post. It's the one thing inside the car that drives me nuts, ad that was before I pulled out a gauge from it leaving a empty hole and snapped it again today. And no one has one second hand intact. I got a new boot, knob and short shifter too. Do you know if there is any left?

There was a gauge mounted on it?
Get a photo for me I would like to see,
Well I have a used one thats In good shape.

Or I could look tomorrow if there's any left. When I get to work.

And nope took them out to clean them get the flow tested etc when I had the intake manifold off porting and polishing it.

Putting them back in thought I'd get away with not replacing them
I didn't.. Ahahaha

Yeah, for water temperature or something. Ill get a photo tomorrow.

Your old one isn't cracked? How much you want for it?

You sure you didn't damage them whilst putting them back in? I had that problem when I rebuilt my 3SGE. Makes sense if you thought they were good and then only realised once they went back in.

Yeah they looked fine
But apparently once they hit the air they become real brittle due to being soaked In petrol they practically get wind burn as there all dried out. From the petrol.
So I guess they split going back in, Owell I bought 8 of them for next time or spares

Ah, makes sense.

Did you want to sell the spare surround?

Gatesys SW20
Oh
Ahah sorry dude
Yeah sure if you want it
Ill double check to make sure it's not cracked or anything but from my last look at it, it wasn't I only got a new one
Because it was genuine
And because it was already fitted to the surround instead of it looking crappy
But I'd be happy with 30$ plus postage so lets say 40 to your door?
