hey guys got some rims to get my car rego'd and turns out they scrape my suspension,  so wondering if s15 rims with 225/50/16 tyres will fit with no issues.

The rims will fit, but the tyre profiles you mentioned will result in an overall diameter increase over standard rolling stock, so depending on who is doing your rego check that may also be an issue.

.............. turns out they scrape my suspension,..........

Hey El Filthy,

If they are scraping your suspension, it sounds more like the off sets on the rim are too high for the widths...... anything between +32 and +38 will work for 7" and 8" widths - the wider the front rims the lower the offset you will need. Front suspension has less clearance than rear.

I have a spare set of 17" rims that have just become available - they are not the prettiest things but they will get you through WA rego, with the correct tyres.......and they don't scrap suspension.

Happy to sell to you for $300 - they will be fine until you can get nicer rims........that's what I did to get through WA rego! Of course you will need to buy the appropriate load rated tyres for them - that's what they caught me out on........only in WA!!!

Fitment are:
Fronts: 17" x 7" +38
Rears: 17" x 8" +35
Stud pattern 5x114.3

As you can tell I now have nice WORK wheels which took over 10 weeks from ordering, ex Japan.

Let me know if you are interested.

Cheers, M
