why not sell it and buy a ****tier car to track? if its not that bad (ie, due to you being super picky about resto), sell it to someone else who does have the coin to restore it and buy yourself a proper track one, rather than dooming a car because of your picky taste?

Would sell & buy a ****tier car to track, but I havent come across another as recent.
If someone is interested, by all means, I would sell complete (as is).  Unfortunately what you cant see as yet, the passenger side front guard has a little damage, front end has had a little hit as some point & would need a full respray.  But as stated, would be a beautiful base for someone to restore, I agree totally.
I picked it up as it was just sitting in the front yard, further deteriorating & would have continued for who know how long.

What year is it and how much would you want to sell it for as is (not that I have money or room for it)?  I have a ****tier condition '85 mk1a, we may be able to come to an arrangement if you can wait until after Jan (MTC).

It's the same colour mk1a as my car so I would be keen on a lot of parts but its a long way away and probably not worth it unless I get the whole thing.  It would be a shame to part out and looks overall in better condition than my '85.

Very cool, are the tow pickup points usually on the reo bar? If so this might be a decent way of adding a towbar to our cars.

Does the twobar attach to the metal bumper support or the actual chassis/body?

Ok, the towbar has been welded (very well mind you) directly to the metal reo support bar. Overall it looks a very neatly done job, rio is in very good condition too.

Thanks for the pics!
I wonder if the reo bar is the same as mine on my 1989? Will it replace what i have now I wonder.
Has the bumper plastic cover been cut or modified in some way?
How much do you want for it?

Sorry one more question on the towbar. I noticed on my rear bumper last night that there is a strip of metal with many bolts going through on the very bottom of it. It appears to bolt the plastic cover to the reo bar.

With your reo/towbar can you still use that metal strip/bolts? From looking at the pictures it might not be possible anymore due to the piece of angle welded along its length.

Hope that makes sense? Just worried that the bumper plastic cover might sag or appear not attached properly.

Very keen to purchase though.

It was all original, just have to cut your metal stip / plastic to fit around the towbar tongue. I have the original strips that have been cut / modifiied to suit & they fit fine.  I will supply them with the bar too if you want.

I'm keen on the following, let me know what you can bring along to MTC and how much you're chasing...

- front lip / splitter trim
- raised pin striping adjacent to door(s)
- C-Panel Trim & roof spoiler if available
- undercarrige plastic if available
- plastic frunk trim that covers the radiator (small rectangular time between headlights)
- radiator top mounting brackets
- stock airbox and piping

I also need to work out what will fit in my Adub for the trip home.
