Good to see review on these. What's the spring rates? BC coilovers have great reviews among the Evo crowd who put them above Teins. Apparently made by the same people that make Greddy coilovers.

That's a big call from the Evo crowd, I'm still undecided on what coilovers to run in the future.

I run the BCs in my car for street use only - they came with the car that I've had for over a year now.  I'm very happy with them, they did take a long time to setup (the prev owner didn't set them up correctly) and get spot on in terms of what ride height I wanted, and stiffness, but overall I'm quite happy with them.  If I had stock springs / shocks and they needed replacing, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a set of these.

Sorry I didn't get back earlier but here are the specs for BC coil over’s I fitted. I was going to go for the MH inverted series but was told by the supplier that they could be a bit aggressive for any street use.
I am yet to set them up  as I'm still waiting for some B-spec brake pads from Q/land (bad time of year)

The BC BR Type RA Series Coilover Kit features 30 levels of damping force adjustment, combined with full length height adjustment allowing an extremely low ride height, and pillowball upper mounts.

The BC BR Type RA Series Coilover Kit comes with Pillowball upper mounts in the front, and rubber upper mounts in the rear, combining the properties of both types of upper mounts. This setup is designed for drivers who look for the ultimate balance of comfort and superior performance, coupled with a smooth and forgiving overall ride quality. This makes the BC BR Type RA Series Coilover the ideal choice for street, circuit and tarmac rally use. For most of those vehicles equipped with McPherson Struts, the front pillowball upper mounts are automatically upgraded to Camber adjustable upper mounts.

The BC BR Type RA Series Coilover Kit utilizes enlarged shock absorber cartridges with specially designed shock pistons and rods to provide a broad range of damping force. The newly developed lubricant oil used in all BC Racing shock absorber cartridges assists in minimizing aeration and cavitation. The beveled edge design on the lower locking ring ensures and optimum seal with the lower mount and prevents the lower locking ring from unseating.

Sorry it’s taken such a  long to come back with an update on the BC shocks. After installing them we found a wobble like noise coming from rear axle carrier assembly (nothing to do with the shocks) it’s a common fault with SW20’s putting a lot of force on the left hand rear assembly. In this case the baring housing was worn and the baring was wobbling around inside, the whole housing had to be replaced.
Anyway back to my report. We started off on full soft just because it was a good starting point, all we got from that was a lot off under steer and a kind of pendulum bouncing affect. From this we went 6 notches harder than soft all round. Not much difference here just less bounce but still the pendulum affect and still the under steer.
The next step was a bit more radical as we always knew that there had to be a difference from the front to the back, knowing that the back was heavier for obvious MR2 reasons. With this step we increased the rear set only by 4 notches harder. Instantly we found a difference the pendulum affect had disappeared and there wasn’t as much under steer.
Another 2 notches on the back and the under steer was gone and the whole car felt balanced.
From there we kept that ratio from front to back the same and started to increase to hardness by 2 notches all around. Each time we increased it we found there was an improvement until finally we were starting to get a slight bit of over steer. When we reached this point we knew the car was well balanced it just felt that you could throw the car into a corner and it would forgive anything.
The final ratio was 10 notches harder than soft on the front and 16 at the back a difference of 6 from front to back.
This set up was run on normal road conditions and is yet to be run on track conditions. The difference is that the road is more uneven.
We are thinking that we will probably go a lot harder front and back on the track but the ratio of 6 from front to back will stay the same. Stay tuned for that one.
In conclusion, really great shocks worth the money but like any test, time will tell. The question to ask is will they hold up to the pressure or will bits start to fall off.

I just bought a set of these. My rear suspension turned out to be completely shagged on further inspection.

Sweet can't wait to hear your opinion. If everyone so far finds BC Coilovers streetable and can be adjusted to be comfortable with ease of setup for track days I may be persuaded as well...

I've got BC BRs also. Once the car is back on the road I'm looking forward to trying your settings.

Those spring look perfect. A bit stiffer up front than Tein SS.

I think I will start with your settings too and then adjust to my feel :)
