Nt01 will be much faster than the star specs. Nt01 are an R compound semi slick. Star specs are high performance street tyres. Stick to a proper R spec semi to keep it balanced with your Dunlops. Any will do. If nt01 are a good price then go with them. Keep with a medium compound to match the rear.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I was thinking the NT01's would be faster based on them being a R Compound vs the Star Spec UHP but I just wanted to confirm as guys here don't rate the NT01's very highly. A Dunlop super dealer was telling me to go the Star Spec 2 as he said they would match my rears but I was a little worried as you know, they could just want to make a sale as they knew I wasn't going to buy the D03G up front for $500 each.

I run NT01's on the front with no issues. Value for money they are about the best IMO

Yokohama A048's are a good tyre. I've run A050's, but they need to be used fairly regularly or they go bad.
Currently running some Toyo Proxes R888's and they are a decent tyre also.
The choice of tyre depends on what it's being used for.
