I think the regularity totals were adjusted because of the interruption during the second groups session which messed up the timing a bit. I was originally told that I'd won regularity and my class which has now changed, but that's racing lol.

I dont understand, as I was sure you had won regulatory too Rick. What does that mean for the placings if anything?

Has Phil Plucks times in both the rally car WRX on the first day and the next day in the Lotus been added together to form a time overall has it?

He was excluded from any class and placing when he turned up in the Exige, but he was fine with that. He appears on the print screen cause I took it from the summary page in the spreadsheet which links everything together. If I deleted him from that page, it would break other things in the sheet.

Ignore Phil's entry.

The regularity timing was reduced to the first 5 laps because the second session was affected for 2-4 laps as a car became a hazard with it's bonnet coming unlatched. Us in the data entry team were not even aware that this had happened and just entered the data as per the sheets. Those 2-4 laps caused people to gain 15-20 second/lap penalties as they circulated around the circuit under yellow/red light condition. After adjusting this, it was found we have a shuffle of placings and a new winner of the regularity.

We have been advised that for next year, the guys from timing will be able to export all session timing laps into excel for me. This will save two hours of manually entering the results for 50 cars and should allow us to announce the results on the night, without further change.

TL;DR: Blame Victor.

The regularity session was split due to Rodney leaving the pits with the bonnet up. I could have black flagged him but I was too concerned about a bonnet flying up so I diffused the situation by red flagging it.
I assumed the split session would be added together then 7 laps taken from the accumulation of both sessions. I had allowed enough time for session two do so but the first session was completely removed from the record which threw this out of the window. As much as its frustrating for all the entrants, its also very frustrating for my self as 'event organiser/clerk of the course/race control as it really did cause unwanted controversy.
Sorry to all who suffered.

Totally not your fault Steve, you were acting with the safety of everyone in mind. I guess I'm gonna have to come back next year to try to win my class :)
I'll beat Mike one day (maybe) lol

So very sorry about my bonnet not closing properly when I drop it. This was my error for not double checking it. This will not happen again, I have learnt and very embarrassed about it.

It's far better to have a headache and disappointment over interrupted timings than have a fatality or serious injury occur.

Everyone made it home in one piece, majority were happy once again with the event.

I highly recommend these flush mount style bonnet latches.
