The awards will arrive but not just yet. Owen is helping out with the final designs. Once they arrive, I will send these to Wakefield so they can produce the plaques. I will be at Wakefield in a few weeks to repair on the cabins which is leaking. Turns out the bearer is in need of repair, some studs need replacing, some gyprocking and painting required so I will be enjoying the track for a few days. The things I do to make MTC viable!

Will the 2015 plaques be ready for presentation for the 2016 challenge?

Very unlikely but I did appreciate the early distribution of my prize money. Many thanks Steve. Made a huge difference to my race budget. I will be back.
Hope to see most of you at the Queensland Nationals in June.     Cheers.

I just sent through the award design. Hope to pick these up in a week.
I'm still unsure about the Nationals but will confirm in the next few weeks.
Rick, I just watched your quick lap. You do not need to use 2nd gear as much as you do. 3rd over the top of the hill is ok then hold 3rd to the sweeper onto the back straight. Also, finish all your braking before turn two, only accelerating on exit of the apex as you are still slowing down past the apex. This will help get your times down.

I did notice that i had to improve my braking when i watched the video myself. I did try third a few times earlier on, but with the power of the Beams at the top end of the rev range it seemed better in second. That being said, i only tried third when i was still learning the track, and i'm now probably carrying more corner speed with the improved confidence that i gained throughout the event, so carrying third makes more sense now.
I'll have a lot better tyres next year as well (assuming you allow 17" wheels and tyres in the street class lol) so i'll have to use third anyway with the expected improvement in corner speeds.
Thanks for the feedback - I don't really know what i'm doing lol.
