Thanks to Steve and the the others for the event. I really enjoyed the driving and the banter each night and made some new friends. I learned a lot from Paul Brell about the MR2 engine cooling system which helped me have peace of mind whilst giving the car an absolute flogging! Everybody was free with advice and ideas about different lines and techniques on the track. Looking forward to next year already.

What an event and what a journey. over 3000kms, 165L of fuel and heaps of fun. Made so many new friends and absolutely had a blast. It was great having some close battles with the street class group, although mikey was a bit too quick to keep up with.

Took Sharon for a passenger run and gave her a little fright, got to do a little drifting which was pretty good fun and taught me alot about car control. Overall, my favorite stage was the tarmac stage. Those close corners and having to go back to first was super fun. Coming through the sweeper was also great, but reinforced the fact that my 300 treadwear street tyres were just not up to the task.

I found my brakes to be amazing but the rotors got too hot and warped, I had very little brakes on the way home; engine braking was my best friend lol

It was just great meeting everyone, they were all so helpful and friendly no matter the power, class or age gap. I unfortunately had some electrical issues during one event but Kazumasa, Yuki and Paul Brell came to the rescue. for that I thank them very much. I also had about 10 other people offering their assistance and adivice

Cant wait to come back next year with some more practice and mods under my belt, and smash some lap times!

I just want to say again, how much fun I had this year.  Back at work, but not sure where my head is. 
Last year I had only 4 passenger runs, all in MR2's.  This year.......................... wow, can't quite remember all of them....................... MR2's, Lotus, STI, Corolla, Steve's little PUG, Skyline (WAAAAAHOOOOOO, HAHAHA)...........
Drifting was so much more fun than I thought it would have been.................... I'm glad I had watched some youtube tho, so I did know sort of what to expect.
 
Waving the checkered flat for your hot laps was fun.  Think I might have waved it a bit low & close to some of you tho, sorry...............

I really enjoyed working with you over the few days. it was pretty funny when I walked in the office at sign on to a sea of mayhem! You should see it when the entries for the W300. The place goes crazy.
It was a treat to watch you fall out of the car after your many passenger experiences. Probably better than a day at a theme park!
Thanks again for all of your help. Its a gift when you can meet a bunch of people where we all get along as close friends and work well as mates. Pretty damn lucky!
Hopefully my car will up to the standard of excitement as many others at the event in 2016 so you can fall out of the car again!

Definitely better than a day at a theme park.
I had no idea what I was signing on for when I said I'd help............ lol.............. but thoroughly enjoyed it.
Falling out of cars after going around the track is a given............ lol............. especially after drifting, couldn't say anything for several minutes.  When people were asking how was it, all I could do was thumbs up & laugh.

Had an absolute blast at the MR2 Trackday Challenge for 2014 this week. was really worried about the weather as it was foretasted to rain for both days but you never know with goulburn!! and thank God it was good.
I was also worried about the Blue Robin (RA28 Celica) as every time ive been to the track since finishing the build ive hit problems! 
Well not this year, Coming in 2nd place Outright & 1st place in the hot lap shoot out. Out of around a grid of 35 plus cars and some of the cars being highly modified and worth a lot more money than the Blue Robin eg, 400rwkw Ford xr6 turbo, a couple highly modified EVO's, Lotous Exige, 600hp Supra, a lot of amazing MR2s some with over 300rwkws!!! So i am so stoked & a little shocked with this result. 
Also the way the event has been organised is amazing, I've never done anything like this before and got to say i highly recommend it! its not only an amazing event but you meet some top blokes (& ladies) and i learnt so much too. Was also really nice to have some father son time away. 
I shall be putting this event into the annual calender of must do events from now on & if you havent you should too!!!
Thanks so much again to Steve the organiser and all who where involved in getting this event going, including photographers, web and graphics people, Wakefield park officials and anyone else I've forgotten.

I absolutely loved seeing your Celica there, it was one of my favorite cars at the event. As a former RA28 owner i was thrilled to see how well you went.

I had a ball trying to race a 306 rwkw. It was hard work for me as I never raced a Mr2 or even practice in one until now. And a first time at Wakefield. Thanks to the great bunch of guys coming to this event. A special thanks again To Steve and the team. I'm going to turn my hard top into a circuit car with Mike's help at this stage.

Taken it apart to get the chassis straighten. Hope to have this ready for the next MTC.
