I was going to buy some TRD badges for more power, but i wasn't sure if i'd be able to handle the power increase that TRD badges give...

Thats a good call. Combining a TRD badge with a beams engine could be asking for trouble.

You can get brand new open face helmets for $80. Sharing a helmet over a hot two day race meet could be, ah, 'funky'.

That's great news Chris. I think we may end up at 40 the way we are going but that is the maximum. I have a spare helmet you can borrow. Will dig it out this week.
 

 
Helmet sourced. Went all out and bought an rxt $80 number. I have a large noggin Steve, thanks for the offer but probably wouldn't fit my lumpy head.
