The current TRW's will never fade no matter how many laps you do but i would put them in the very dusty category. Thats why they are so good without noise.
It's good to know that my TRW pads are dustier than most. It certainly doesn't take long for my front wheels to get filthy, even after only a few days of street driving. When I'm choosing new pads I can now be confident that they won't be any more dusty than what I'm used to.

Stick with what you have Rob, your car will drive home after a great two days of racing as it did last time. Enjoy the event;)

Exactly right Trav! Just run what ya brung. Will be awesome fun regardless of what gear you have on the car. The last track day I did was on $300 Chinese tyres and it was a fantastic day. I'll be using them at MTC for the drift sessions :)
Cheers guys :-)
I would struggle to find some second hand 17 inch wheels with the correct fitment in less than 3 weeks anyway (they would have to fit perfectly, so I could easily swap between them and my current 18s). It's something that I can consider after MTC 2015, and hopefully by then my driving will have improved enough to make semi slicks more worthwhile lol.
As you said, I'll just stick with what I have, knowing what to expect from the car after the last event, and I'll try to smash my previous laptimes by just driving harder and better. I'm guaranteed to enjoy myself no matter what :-D
The last few pages of this thread now have heaps of great info and advice that other people can take onboard too!
