Cool, i'm just going to have some fun, not set any records or destroy the car lol ...... I'll still have to drive it 2000kms home afterwards.

Unfortunately i cant afford to spend money on wheels or tyres atm. I'm saving everything i can just to get to the track day... A 4000km round trip and food and accommodation for nearly a week away isn't cheap. I've gotta do the best i can with what ive got...

Good on you for committing to the big trip!

It's best to start off with a stock car and normal tyres, so you can try to make the most of what you've got first.
Also, you will learn more about what the car is capable of in its current form.

Just keep to the basics. Best to flush the brake system with good quality brake fluid. That will be a better investment than new tyres.

I did that in September before my first track day at Mallala, the brakes held up really well.

Yep, Willwood 600. Its cheap and well proven in ALMS,Nascar and many other series around the world. A friend uses it in his 500hp V8 RX7 in endurance racing. It will do a 1.03 at Wakefield for 300kms. Never had brake fade.
It is also very resilient as opposed to the AP. AP is very good but needs to be changed quite often.
