165kw Gen2 turbo

Okay sounds good.

Is there any simple way for me to tell during the time I'm looking at the car?

stock ones:
Early engine has air flow meter, TOYOTA wording on valve cover, metal plaque on plenum (TWIN ENTRY CERAMIC TURBO - cant recall exact words), TVIS (8 runners off plenum), ignition leads "loose" over valve cover. CT26 on turbo compressor.

Later (gen3) engine has no AFM, small sticker on plenum, plastic catch can, no TVIS (4 runners off plenum), ignition leads in plastic tube bolted to valve cover.  Toyota on turbo compressor.

There are a few other items that escape me now.

Cheers

The 200hp car in the link above is an American car. Forget about that one.

So its either 165 or 180 being from the Japanese market.

165KW Gen 2

180KW Gen 3

Oh really! -_-

Okay well since the power/weight ratio can be no more than 125kw/t. Do you know the kerb weight of the Jap spec 1991 mr2 turbo targa top manual?
