Hi guys,

I bought a 95 gen3 hardtop turbo late last year, it was meant to be a budget track car and end up needs an engine rebuild urgently. Over the last 5 months with only 10 minutes enjoyment, now the car is sitting at friend's workshop collecting the dust.

Can anyone recommend a good engine builder/mechanic in Sydney? I love to get the rebuild going asap and hoping to join the 2014 MR2 track day challenge!

Thanks

Thanks Gatesys,
When I mentioned "budget", I mean that I am not chasing some BIG horsepower, but still like to get all the forge internals done, reliable track car so I can do some track days & possible CAMS supersprint.
My mechanic has huge workload at moment and I don't want to wait for another 3-6 months.
If anyone can recommend a good mechanic locally ( like sw20 or Toyota specialist ). Thanks

Flypig, you could try my mechanic in Gladesville for your engine work.
He built my 316KW engine as well as another on here something like 330KW.
Paul Brell - Boss Tuning http://www.bosstuning.com.au/contact.html
His location is Gladesville

He's been working on MR2's for as long as they have been around.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for the help, the car is in with Paul now. I am just going to do a basic rebuild, I am not chasing big power like your old one. Keep it reliable & budget street car.

Mr2gtracer
I would also recommend Mark and the boys at MRC Dyno and Performance in Castle Hill.
They have worked on my car and Robk's car.  Check out his built thread for details.
Can't recommend them highly enough
