Generally once the muffler goes, its a throw away; there is no reason you couldn't repair it though. You'd have to cut it open, acid bath it, recoat it, repair the collapse, repack and weld it back on. But it'd be a bit more than a replacement stainless muffler (if you're so inclined). If you do all the work yourself probably cost you about $200 in parts.

might be a long shot, but get in contact with 4b fabrications in carrum down, if memory serves me right they custom make the black mamba mufflers similar to the stuff racepace used to make. they might be able to repack the mufflers for you, but be warned they will not be cheap.

Thanks mate, i wouldnt nkow where to start so it would have to be done in a shop
might get a new system if worse comes to worse. just didnt want to replace my current one cause i wont find another similar relacement

no I dont know anyone there, but ive worked on quite a few cars with custom made black mamba mufflers, and from a quick google search, it appears they are the guys that make them, as I know they are made in vic somewhere. black mamba mufflers are usually used for shutting up race cars for sandown etc, and use quality materials for the muffler innards as they take a lot of heat, even a few v8 supercars use them
