Hi guys!

im pretty new to Mr2's and really enjoying my first one,
I have noticed recently that there is a large air rushing sound coming from the front of the car at idle, so im assuming those are the front thermo fans, only issue is they appear to be on all the time.

Is the a common issue/ has any got any experience with this ? any help would be much appreciated.

regards leo !

have you only recently noticed this happening, or was it there from when you bought the car??
theres a plug underneath the car for the fans and if its been umplugged they will run constantly.
if you had the car for a service of the coolign system or front end work, the mechanic might have forgotten to plug it back in.
if its been like that from start then, the previous owner could have done it to mask a cooling issue, or probably forgot himself.
either way, first check and see if the plug is connected. if its connected then check and see if your heater is blowing hot air, if it isnt then check if your coolant is full (when car is cold) and you dont have any leaks etc or loosing coolant anywhere.
cheers

Only noticed it recently, historically the car has never done it,

where is the plug ? is it near the thermos ?

heater is blowing hot air,

doesn't appear to be leaking and its full of coolant.

The switch is on the side of the radiator itself.  You're looking for a round two pin plug.

The plug is intact,

not sure what else to look for..... could the switch be dead ? ie need a replacement

Yes it could be. There is a way to test it, but I'm not sure how. Maybe someone else can chime in or just do a search on this forum.

issue seems pretty complicated ! also now my air conditioning doesn't seem very cold  ! i guess the AC switch might be at fault ?  Anyone have a recommendation to take my car to ? i think this may be a bit beyond my experience !

When I got my car back from the panel shop they had blown a fuse (fusebox next to drivers footwell)

That blown fuse made my fans run continuously.
