You need to sell the N/A Toyota and buy a Turbo Nissan so you can put that workshop to regular use fixing it.

Whilst we are on the subject of alignments, what are the experts opinion on devices to measure camber at home?

As the aw11 has adjustable camber from factory plus the adjustable strut tops my car has, I want to be able to fiddle around at home and measure my own camber without having to take the car to a wheel alignment shop (and pay them) I've been contemplating buying the device below. About $180 and seems to have good reviews.

I thought seeing as I just had my wheel alignment re adjusted on the weekend when I got the new wheels fitted I would post up the settings mine has been set to as well.
So far I have been quite happy with the alignments I have had done by the guys I go to.

Hi Rick & Nik,
Interesting that Nik's aligner uses the same machine that mine did.
In case you didn't notice from my picture, my car still has original wheels.
I seem to recall that you have the later, nicer, original wheels at the moment.

My car does still have the original stock wheels, which are pretty good, but the centre caps are not in very good condition.

300ZX? no wonder you own a hoist!

Nik get some camber bolts for the front or grind the raised section off the original bolts at least so you can get the camber spot on. Although you say you are happy with your alignment from the figures they have not spent the time to make it perfect (not that hard trust me)

Nick in regards to the camber gauges i have used long acre and various other expensive items.

BUT what i like using with the car loaded on jack stands with wheels off is one of these builders angle gauges that Steve has. Use that across the centre hub and it is as accurate as it gets! and dirt cheap.

For toe i use Longacre toe plates and tape measures.
