yeah man
http://www.saikoumichi.com/951_page.htm
looks to be of decent quality, am just waiting for him to get back to me on how it is baffled inside, as this can is a sealed unit and couldn't be modded.
so will either get this one, one from 'dedicated matt' on mr2oc.com or just buy an ebay job and make up a baffle mesh inside

where does it say baffled? i cannot see that anywhere. If thats the case its just another tank on the market that works crap...

The dedicated Matt one looks kinda ugly but his budget one is your best bet as it retains a sealed system.

yeah his site looks good but his layout and info is a bit lacking lol.
says in the faq section:
They are custom configurable. They are made from scratch when you place the order. My catch cans are fabricated with an internal mesh filter to help trap blow-by fumes. All my catch cans are TIG welded aluminum. Quality is my focus.

So should be all good. Might be a few other people on here interested in these so will let you know how they go if I get one.
Agree with you on the dedicated matt one... is not the most aesthetically pleasing can! definitely not my first choice but seems a good practical design if all else fails. Mind you my engine bay is not the most aesthetically pleasing either atm but I hope to rectify this soon;)

It seems a lot of people with modern diesels engines have used these provent filters with great success. They appear to work very well and stop all vapours downstream.

Cheers

I have always loved the idea of plumbing the out line from the catch can into the exhaust. Vacuum :) As has already been said to work properly the can needs to be quite large and baffled. I think the one on the starlet is 1.5 liters or more.

I also have the same catch can (friend gave it to me for free)

I'm wondering what you did to the can to mod it to work better? (did you put steel wool inside it?)

Also what did you mount it to? I'm looking to mount it on my gen2.. but finding it tricky.

kameleon

oil goes in and then straight out! i have one of these in the largest hose sizing that has been modded to work properly but not in a std MR2 setup like your after AND has cost more then making my own setup!

i recommend something near the air cleaner mount wise, that has some form of baffling or atleast just some steel wool inside to actually seperate and not just look good.

Back when i first bought my car that was the first mod....
