Organic FTW. the clinking of a twin plate annoys me too much.

Haha,
im not sure whats going on,

but my sports tuff, the clutch has zero pedal effort like a stock clutch as the box said, but 35 percent more clamp load,

also, its the engine mount the holds the trans to the firewall. guess that would be front engine mount to be exact.

m hoping this is my issue,
but the bolt is stripped out, so they either helicoil the gearbox or they owe me a gearbox the way i see it, and a new bolt.

Could this cause my issues a loose engine mount, it just seems like it dosnt grab very hard..

Those bolts often strip out, it isn't uncommon, they are in a !*(# of a spot, cannot usually be torqued properly in situ which results in people 'hanging' off them.  Its only an aluminium thread.

If you have fried two clutches you need to look outside of the box, I will presume you have changed the pressure plate with the clutch.  I would start with the hydraulic system is there a problem with the slave cylinder!  Has it corroded causing it to stick or the master cylinder for the same reason or is the slave cylinder out of adjustment and not properly engaging or disengaging the clutch.

Cheers

Yes pressure plate changed with both,
brand new kits both occasions, not sure if this is fried, but it definatley slips and does not bite like a hd clutch should,
all i can put it down to is install error, or the VERY loose tranny mount effecting engagement and pressure.

is there a special thing a clutch specialist may have missed, any little tricks an MR2 has for installing a clutch?
or is it the same as it is for every other transaxle layout vehicle.

Slave was replaced, master was not as showed no signs of leaks, and it enegages fine, except sometimes first, i have to be dead stopped most occasions, but that may be due to my brass bushes. other than that is very swift

Hate to burst your bubble, but having an incorrectly fitted front torque mount will not affect the clutch operation.  It is an indication that at least part of the install was not done correctly, so I would begin to wonder what else was missed.

Your tale of woe is reminiscent of issues we had with an Exedy in an Evo IX.  First install, done at a Ralliart qualified workshop, lasted all of 900 km's.  The car owner made the decision to go with Performance Clutch (Brisbane), happiness filled.

Hmm, so he changed shop aswell?

Mount was fixed, seems good so far, apparently can take longer for a new clutch to properly bed into a solid fly wheel due to them needing to be laithed not machined, and can take longer.
sometimes 1000kms is enough oter times can be up to 5-10000kms to fully bed in, he said i should have an issue with gibing it some abuse on the track, but just not ride the clutch etc etc, and i should feel it start to bite alot better up untill about 5000kms?

but anyway, if it fails, im going to go with a different brand as Aaron has suggested.
