Sorted out the in/outlets for the Davies Cradig W2A water pump.
 
I got some of the Davies Craig 6 bolt flange adapters which just suit push on hose, cut off the push on tube hose part and had welded on a BMRS (Brown & Miller) -12 wiggins single o-ring male adapter.
 
You can see here the weld on fitting on the flange. The flange has a grove on the back for the larger o-ring you see in front of it, the flange seals onto the pump by the large o-ring.
 
You can also see a BMRS hose end put on, with wiggins clamp. This hose end gets crimped onto the BMRS hose with those gold collars.

 

Alrite, you can blame me for you spending money on the new pumps, but you can take full responsibility for what you did to the adapters yeah??

Ha ha i dont know I can take full responsibility, im sure i can blame WEC, ALMS, WRC, F1, V8SC or someone for giving me bad ideas.

I made my own on a lathe all those years ago with receiver groove for the o-ring and a AN fitting which i thought was fancy.....

Yeah Trav i remember you making those, infact i went back to your old thread for ideas and to see what you did. 
I was going to just make the flange, however now they are available to buy it would be more expensive to pay someone to make up, well even for the stock. You can buy it with a AN fitting already on, but its -16, ok for radiator but to big for W2A, so i was going to put a -12 on but then ended up going the wiggins, which i had already but for another item.
 
For something like this tho, drybreak would be nice, but they would just add a restriction in flow and add weight and take up alot of space, -12 are pretty big.
 
Jiffytite? nah, you mean staubli! I had abit of jiffytite stuff, sold it all, will run all staubli gear. 
 
Prob would have been cheaper to use jiffytite, VPW have a tonne on clearance and are pretty cheap.

I was going to say stabuli, need the ability to rebuild and change seals to suit the fluid.

Have not purchased fittings for years (mum works for a hose company that means discounted Speedflow) so actually never heard of Stabuli.

I have not done anything on the car for a while now, i recently bought a house so have been doing all that stuff, however i now have a much larger workshop to operate from so i have been spending all my time setting that up and getting more equipment.
For the last year or so i had been living 45min drive away from were the car was, so was hard to find the time and motivation to go work on it, now its much better so hopefully once things settle down i can start getting things done on the car again.

holy ****. i haven't been on the MR2 thread for years and this was a treat. outstanding work! hope to see this thing one day.
