m currently looking at upgrading the stock downpipe on my gen 3 3sgte.
 
Long story short, I have a spare screamer pipe and am considering adding an external wastegate and screamer pipe to the stock ct20b and manifold.

Has anyone done this and if so what would be the best way about going about it?
 
Anyone welded an external wastegate to the stock gen 3 manifold?
 
Also wondering if it would be necessary to weld the wastegate closed or if simply disconnecting it would work.
 
Anyone used a divorced downpipe?
 
Not too handy with a welder so looking at what options I have before deciding which down pipe and/or other relevant parts to purchase.
