After having to pull out of SMP due to track hire rates I have now started talking with the new track at Luddenham in Sydney. I have put forward a option for three track hire dates in 2018 with two being for track day events and one a little more than that.
One is a single day and another being a two day event which will be the same as MTC at Wakefield with the addition of a Supersprint format. Hopefully they will allow the hill-climb I am proposing to keep it in line to MTC at Wakefield. Having a single say after WPC would benefit the interstate people so they can enjoy another great track aside from WP. For the same reasons, having a single day after or a day before WTAC is also an option which I am looking into.
This looks like a fantastic track with a lot to offer. Elevation, sweeping corners, great little straight and more.
Being based in Western Sydney is an easy to track to find and commute to. The drive from Picton via the old road is an excellent way to get there with some great winding over various hills, farmland, wineries, vista's of Sydney CBD, quiet towns before arriving at the circuit.
There is a model farm which is next door to the track. It is open once per month (a Sunday) so setting a date around this day is the plan as the model farm is a great place to visit when its opened. Model aeroplanes, speed boats, sailing boats, tethered speedsters and more. Finishing the day with a paddle steamer cruise along the Nepean would certainly complete the day before a few days at Luddenham MTC.
Any questions, please ask.
