If it uses minimal oil, then id say its fine.

Std ecus do tend to overfuel in high rpm load areas.

How many ks do you do a yr?

50000ks should give you a decent amount of time to save for a rebuilt motor with or without turbo.

I only use it as a daily to and from work etc

5k would get you my V6 which is pretty much plug and play with all wiring looms done, modified aircon pipes, stainless exhaust, lightweight flywheel , TRD lsd, ported and polished heads, bimetal headgaskets, arp head and main studs, ceramic coated pistons, there is more but too much to list here
