Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any of you are running coilovers and are having the same problem as I am.

I am still running the factory 15s on my 2, and running Blitz coilver.
But what happen is that the factory wheels is rubbing against the front coilover spring seats, which I can't clear out unless I run 10mm spacers.

So, my next question is that I am planning on the GT-R/ GT-S wheels upgrade, and wondering if any of you are running the same set up.

And if any of you might know that the GTS wheels will clear the front strut if you run coilovers.

Cheers,

Jim

How did the front fit?
Did it clear the guards? I tried to fit mine on and it seems to have stuck out a little.
What size tyres are you running mate?

The fronts were flush with the guards. I ran a 205/45? I believe on the front so it had a tiny amount of stretch. I also run -1 degree of camber.

The only downside to 16" is the tyre selection

Maybe get your front alignment checked to make sure you don't have excessive negative camber.

On the front I run one degree negative (stock) with KW coilovers (spring perch diam 82mm at widest point) and had no clearance issues with GTST front wheels or the stock front wheels either.
IIRC the GTST wheels had about 5mm tyre/perch gap. The stock wheels had more.

Maybe that's my problem Reddtarga, I have more than 2 neg camber at the front.
Thanks for pointing that out.

If you went from two degrees negative camber back to one degree negative, (the recommended stock front setting) by my calculations the tyre wall would move out by about 8 mm at the point where it is now scrubbing.
That could be more than enough.

Cheers Reddtarga,
will give that a try when I have the chance.
