Hi can anyone help me i own mr2 1994 n/a
Ive got it with 19" rims .its smooth.but i want to change to 17" or 18" but more likely 17" did i abit of reseach stud pattern 114.3 and offset 45. So ive been looking for black rims found 114.3 but offset 40 .what offset will work for my car.confused : (

u will need  staggered rims either 7" 0n the frt  8"on the back or 8s & 9s ,+35/+38 is the offset u should be looking for
 17s are a lot cheaper for tyres then 18s as you will need to drop down to 35profile tyre with 18s

if you have coilovers +35 is usually as far as you can go, +40 is too far (on a 8-9 inch stagger)

Best to take the time and find staggered rims (with different offsets) that will follow the designed tyre lines intended for the car (how the car handles).
You can put any rim on the car, add a spacer or whatever - however if you dont get the correct width/offset etc your handling will change (worsen). 
Dont believe ads that say "for mr2" because someone put them on a mr2. Take your time find out the width and offset.
I have had 17s and 18s. 18s look cool however harsh ride, going back to 17s (or at least for the front at minimum).
