As the event is coming closer by the day, now is the time to ensure that your vehicles are track worthy for the safety of both yourself and your fellow competitors. Things to look out for include significant oil leaks, battery properly secured, body and parts not securely fixed that could fall off, wheel nuts missing, electrical cables sharing accommodation with the steering column universal joints. and frayed throttle cables etc. A good idea too to see that your in car cameras are secured by more than a suction cup (preferably with a secondary tether).
Vehicles will be scrutinsed on Sunday evening and Monday morning to ensure our events start at 9.00 am sharp. (Drivers' briefing will be held at 8.00am.
Wakefield Park also imposes an 85 db drive by limit measured by equipment some 30 metres infield from the start/finish line. Wakefield Park Management will pull non compliant vehicles off the track until the problem is remedied. Don't spoil your day with a noisy car.
Remember to bring your CAMS or AASA licence and helmet approved to AS1698 or higher, long pants, long sleeved shirt and closed shoes. This requirement is the same for drivers and passengers.
