To all the good people of MR2, thank you for all the support over the previous four years. To all the haters and fools I kept away to make this such a positive event, now is your chance to make an appearance

Still hoping i can get a go at this.  But our move might hamper things as it's still all up in the air on dates etc. and i just dont have the time to get the car ready at the moment.  :(
 
Really hope this continues on past 2017.   

I'm pretty disappointed that you can't be involved Steve. Is it too late to consider Sydney Motorsport Park for MTC? Would other attendees consider SMP as an option? I must admit I liked Wakefield because of the accommodation and felt it was pretty central for people travelling from other states, but I think SMP could cater to everyone needs even better. I believe we could even race later in the afternoon than what Wakefield allows. I'd love to hear people's thoughts on this....

i can sleep in my car trailer so accommodation doesn't bother me if i get to go.

U have organised a ran the last MTC's with great success, but had to sacrifice actually getting out there on the track yourself... get ya car ready and get some track time with us...PLEASE!!!

^100% agree.
I suspect it's too late/hard to switch venue for 2017, so get the car sorted and just enjoy.
Reassess Wakefield v SMSP/other for 2018 depending on how 2017 goes.
 
Short circuit simultaneous with hillclimb is good but not a dealbreaker to me, no event will be perfect, but a good core turnout of MR2 enthusiasts is the main thing right?

Steve, it's been a great run - i've been twice and really enjoyed getting the most out of my car and myself. No matter what circumstance has brought things to where they are now I have to say thanks for providing an awesome atmosphere to do the above.
 
Now's your time to get out there in your car and just race the car which you have poured so much of the proverbial in to. Surely it has to be ready now. Get amongst it and just drive man!

Yeah Steve just come along and drive and concentrate on getting that MR2 lap record.

Steve, you've created something great.  Now it's your turn to come along & enjoy the experience with the group of friends the event has brought together.  While a band of volunteers take care of the details.
 
I probably would never have realized my passion for sitting in the passenger seat while someone drive really fast, if it hadn't been for this.
