I am trying to source some TRD lowering spings to go with my koni yellow inserts, and was hoping someone might know where I might be able to get some. I know they are discontinued, so hoping that someone might know of some in stock somewhere. I've tried Andys Autosports, Lithia Toyota, Toyota New Zealand, Amayama, and I se Twosrus no longer have them listed.
 
I currently have BC coilovers which I am now fed up with on Sydney roads, seem to handle ok but every little bump is felt with my 17 inch wheels (Federal 215/40/17 235/45/17). I even think they have contributed to ruining my polished wheel lips.I got the coliovers second hand with a rolling shell purchase, and after reading many positive comments thought I should give them a go. Is there a way to determine they are still in working order if I pulled them off the car …….before I sell them?
 
My next option are the Eibach Pro which I shouldn't have a problem sourcing.

The problem may be your 40 profile fronts. 
At one stage I ran TRD/Koni's with 50 profile tyres (15 inch wheels) and I still thought the ride was a bit firm for suburban roads. They looked good but the problem is you only have about one inch bump travel on the front.
 
If you are looking for better ride, rather than Eibach Pro-kits look for some stock 92+ springs.
I have tried both with Koni's and the stock 92+ rode noticeably softer. 
BTW, they each have about the same ride height.

That's not my experience.
I have tried both on my car and the TRD's were much lower lower than the Pro-Kits.
 
IMO, TRD's are a great option if you mainly want to lower your car for looks, but don't mind a harder ride.
 
 
 
 
 

Did you get the harder TRD springs Reddtarga? I've got the softer progressive wound TRD springs on my car and the lowering is quite moderate (around 1-1.25") and while they sharpen up the handling of the car, the ride is very comfortable and compliant.
 
I've always been very happy with them.

I've read all your posts on suspension with interest as you've had them all. I know the profile of my tyres make a difference, and was hoping someone would chime in to confirm. I know alot of people run 17inch but you don't hear them complain about the ride, so I was also thinking maybe the Federals aren't as good as others. I can't complain about motorways and handling with the tyres though.
I do have some Gen3 bilstein springs off a rear cut, but no fronts, otherwise I would have them on right now even if just to try.
I was leaning to the TRD (softer type which is the part number I quoted) as most say they aren't that harsh a ride compared to stock (when combined with Koni). I did find one mr2oc thread (can't find atm) which listed the order as TRD, Eibachpro, 93+ in terms of ride quality and sums up what I've read over the years. Some of this was on mr2oc forum, so perhaps the roads there are more forgiving.
 
I didn't think the ride height was that different between the TRD and Eibach pro, but apparently there is also an older version and newer version of the TRD which differ in height. I don't want more than 1".
 

It's worth aiming for the Soft-type TRD's, they're firm enough, imagine the hard-type would be a bit much.
As mentioned earlier - a good set of Gen3 OEM springs will ride nicely, especially if you're already running 17's with thin rubber...

I believe my TRD springs were actually the same as the OP listed which would be the softer type.
I think the hard ones were only available on special order anyway.

Lower springs have to be made harder to stop the suspension crashing into the bumpstops on large bumps.
The stock bump travel on the front of a 92+ SW20 is only about two inches. My TRD's rode one inch lower, so there was only one inch left.
 
Of course ride is a very subjective thing, and what one person may tolerate another won't. 
Also don't forget that wheel weight, diameter, tyre profile/pressure, ARB stiffness etc are all variables that affect ride quite apart from what springs you have.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Anyone know whether there is a difference between the springs delivered on a ADM shock and a JDM shock.Doesn't seem to be in terms of part numbers available from Toyota. Did ADM cars come with blue bilstein struts too, I've only seen black sealed struts on later ADM cars?
I do want to get new springs, but if I can find some front springs to match my rear JDM Bilstein springs I can try them out first. I realise they are getting on in age and would be worn, but should give me a guide on what to expect.
 

If ordering from US just be aware that the AW to SW changeover happened later than everywhere else. So if you ordered part X from a 1990 Mr2, you'd be getting AW parts.
