Just wanting to know if anyone has attempted to change the 4 stud hubs on an AW11 to run 5 stud SW20 hubs.

I have a few sets of 5x114.3 track wheels & only one set for my adub (4x100).  They all run the same size dia 17' wheel currently - which I have done delibrately & would love now if I could convert the adub to run any of my 5x114.3 wheels.

My adub is an 1988 model, with a 4age smallport from a toyota corolla seca AE93.  It carries the modified rolla gearbox & drive shafts if that is of any useful information.

Anyone got any experience before I start playing around with it??

Could possibly go for a set of these...

I've seen it done before. Maybe search on MR2OC?

I think the way it was done was by somehow fitting the SW20 hub into the AW11 nuckle. This also means you can run the stronger SW20 turbo driveshafts.

The SW20 NA uses the same splines in the hubs as the AW11 hubs.
The SW20 T uses the same splines in the gearbox as the AW11 SC gearboxes (shares the same diff too).

Check out TwoBrutal, Paul Woods did the whole 5 stud conversion a long time ago.

Another thing to keep in mind is that mounting flange for the strut on an sw20 upright is about 5mm thicker than an aw11, so the struts wont fit.
