Hi guys,
So after my mechanic installed new wheel bearings he did not put the bolt on the brake caliper back in correctly. This ended up coming loose and scraped all around the inside of the wheel
Now the rear left caliper has warped and needs to be replaced, does anyone have a brake caliper to sell or able to point me to some one who has one to sell?
Or do you think its my mechanics responsibility?

Thanks, any help is appreciated.

If you didn't touch it and the mechanic was at fault, then it's deffinetly his responsibility. I would be chasing him up

If he broke it, he should rectify it. Keep in mind the rear gen 2 and 3 calipers look the same size wise (but have different cast number), but the piston diameter is different.

Cheers

Yea, will give him a call. According to some forums the calipers are all the same n/a or turbo rev2 onwards so should make things easier if from a rev3 car.

NA/turbo is same. But they come in two sizes. 22v is the casting on the rear larger brake callipers IIRC.

cheers

22v is correct.  (The earlier calipers have 16v)
The rotors are also larger on rev3 (280 mm diam) compared to rev2, if that needs replacing also.
