stock oil warmer/cooler trouble

So I've been building my engine and I'm almost done. I have read that because my last engine ate a bearing its advised to replace the stock warmer/cooler and even my aftermarket item. Is there a way to remove the stock job completely? A new oil warmer/cooler goes for about 800$ and I just don't want to spend that kind of money for something that isn't even plumbed up.
Any ideas?

You sure can, you just need the shorter bolt thingo in the middle from a 5s then you can run an oil pick up off this for an AM cooler.

Ok, So I have an Earls filter relocation and oil cooler kit. If I understand correctly, all I need to do is replace the oil bypass bolt with a shorter (5s) one?
If that's it, then damn, thanks so much!!

no. you need to block off the coolant outlets. fit a gen2 3sge water pump housing.
and weld the feed on the bypass pipes.

the blocks are different because of the alloy adaptor under the cooler. some blocks have casting provision to drill and tap 4 holes and make a plate. otherwise, jsut work outwards from the alloy adaptor
