gen 2 3sgte fuel pump flow rate/capacity?
gen 3 3sgte fuel pump flow rate/ capacity?
i assume gen 3 has higher flow rate since its running bigger injectors???
could a gen 2 fuel pump keep up with a bored out gen 2 rail, stock gen 2 fpr, with gen 3 540's? running 15 psi on a stock motor, stock turbo(will be hi flowed in d future), 3 inch zaust, intake, greddy IC?
would afm delete and running aftermarket ems(map)both fuel and ignition controller make a difference in terms of controlling d 540's to work with stock gen 2 fuel pump and fuel pressure?

yes i know about d ussual walbro 255, supra tt fuel pump upgrade. i just CBF 'ed dropping d fuel tank lol.

i just thought that running 540's cpmpared to 440's would give me a lil head room as i have an ems that can dial in exact fuelling. for example-  run 540's at 80% duty cycle rather than run 440's at 100% duty cycle

i'm mainly concerned about fuel pressure drop. if this aint advisable ill just run d stock 440's with d same set up.  or get my lazy butt up and drop d damn thing and upgrade d pump lol

You need a bigger pump thats the safest and best option. I already looked into these in detail. Upgrading the injectors require you to upgrade the rail or bore the stock rail due to uneven pressure at the rail ends.once thats done the stock pump cannot keep up at anything higher than 15 psi from memory. In saying that your stock pump could probably be in worse condition and not make it to 15 psi.
You might be ok with the stock ct26 but if your going to hiflow it a bigger pump is the safer bet.

Most gen 2 pumps are pretty old and tired by now and should be replaced anyway if you're upping the boost etc.
Find someone with a hoist and have a carton of beer ready :)

Yup, gen3 rail flows much better than the gen 2, and you can drop 800cc injectors in there no problems. once you start playing with injector sizes on the gen2, you'll need it to be bored out.

The stock 440cc on the gen 2 I'd start worrying if you were putting out 165rwkw+ and 200rwkw+ on the 540cc's.

Either way, I'd replace the pump as they're cheap to buy (we sell the Wablro 255lph GSS341 for $115, though its a PITA job to install) , and 255lph is good enough to fuel you to 300rwkw provided you have the correct injectors and rail etc.

The weakest link in the Gen3 fuel system is the fuel pump (probably same pump as the Gen2). They fall over before the injectors get near 100% duty cycle. With a Walbro pump, I'm sure Gen3 injectors will make it nicely to 220rwkw. Excluding ethanol inclusive fuels (Eflex/e85).

Maxed out a Gen2 fuel system with just an ecu upgrade & complete bolt ons. Injectors were nearing 100% duty cycle.

i think the pumps are same from memory, im running 176kw on 14psi on gen2 pump and 440s with pfc and a hiflowed ct26, exhaust, cooler and intake this is probably the max. you can go before you have to change pump and injectors.
