Hey matt love your car, only cause its the same as mine :). I live in Queensland unfortunatley and i would of been more than happy to swap exhaust to help you out if we were closer, seeing my car is all standard and has done around 130,000.

I still have standard rims too as i am after some wheels and havnt found any wheels in Australia to satisfy my taste. I love those 8 inch deep dish wheels you have and would be willing to do what ever to get a set of those , could you help me :) ??. Any way best of luck with the exhaust. msg me if you can help me with those wheels Cheers Peter . 0410640486.

My SC had the same HKS pod when it was imported. May I suggest replacing it with a K & N unit? I have heard of a few occasions wher the foam has been sucked down the intake with disastrous results. Especially with the upgraded supercharger pulley making it suck that bit harder.

Nice wheels, love the deep dish!!

I had a HKS filter like that for 6 yrs.  But after a while, I replaced the HKS foam with a oiled foam type replacement.  It was one of these, I just cut it into a circle and it worked very well.

Cheers

Been ages since an update however with a seize engine in my daily driver (Old Hilux) I have been spending a heap of time in the AW of late. Got it out of the garage with a dead flat battery and dusty as hell.

This is it all cleaned up and back to her old self.

Also gave it a garage alignment and camber adjustment. Set it up with 1.8 deg camber on the front and 2.8deg on the rear with 0mm toe all round. Twitchy as hell but still heaps of fun. Will get to try it out at HH.
Below is the garage alignment tools of the trade. Old string line, big right angle, Axle stands, a ruler and not pictured is some basic trig. Straightest alignment ive had on the car for years.

Noticed it has a couple of drops of oil on the garage floor. May use that as an opportunity to rebuild the engine.
