If it's NGK you want BKR6E just make sure it's gapped for yo specs. I'm what I've gathered 0.8mm for Gen 2,3, 1.1mm for Gen 1,4 (Beams). Altho Dj is running turbo I think he has moar choices depending on tune/setup for the heat ranges. Two's R Us recommend BRK7E for tubby it seems

I always run NGK iridiums...install and forget for 100,000 kms. Took them out after 2.5 years and they're a nice brown colour so I whacked them straight back in.
and I've just replaced my rubbish Bosch leads for NGK (blue) and they fit perfectly and look great (cheaper than OEM too).

OEM leads have proven to handle high hp in the 3sgte engines, so i dont see any benefit going to aftermarket stuff, plus the OEM leads seal better on the spark plug holes.
try getting some water in there and see how long it takes to get dry...
the spark plugs are also the same good old copper ones are the best.

twosrus sell the tune up package for the 3sgte thats a great buy everythign is OEM Toyota and much cheaper than local toyota prices.

cheers

+1
I fitted new genuine leads to my Gen2 NA, and was surprised at the improvement in power just by changing the leads, but I believe they were worth getting for the proper fit alone, important because the engine lid lets rainwater in.

I have also used Denso 'Iridium Power' plugs for about 40k kms now, with great results.
Cost about $70 a set on Ebay but these last 50k kms.

Re leads
You wont really notice an improvement in power unless your old leads were totally screwed...

Only reaso. I went aftermarket is because couldn't find a genuine set of leads and the oem ones new from toyota were 200$ were as 8.8mm leads top gun were 140$ and had an extra 1.8mm of wiring for more durable plus stronger spark well not stronger just I guess quicker or more active I guess

As my toyota leads were screwed the inner or one lead had let go :( and was stuck on the end of my plug ahah

Trust me the extra thickness of the Topgun is going to do SFA on a N/A and on a moderately tuned turbo. the only time the difference will be noticed is when the leads are totally buggered, or are reaaly really old.. or your running high power/boost.
when i bought my leads (non genuine from twosrus) there werent any genuine toyota ones available for a cheap price
now twosrus stock them along with genuine cap and rotor and the price is very very good for what your getting compared to buying locally.
the tune up kit made a big difference to my car and fixed my misfiring under high load/boost.
so in my case im not sure wethere the cap, rotor or leads were faulty but i did a general maintenance and changed them all at once and the improvement was quite noticable. so noticable that i started hitting fuel cut lol

btw the aftermarket leads i have and others i have seen dont fit well in the lead holder thats on the engine bay. cause they are thicker and dont press into the holders properly. not a big deal but just thought id mention yet.

cheers

How much for genuine parts?
