Hey All,
Spent half the night looking for info on Blitz Access ECU's and really haven't found anything substantial.  I've got a 1990 turbo with very, very minor mods (full exhaust and air filter) and was wondering if the Blitz ECU would give much extra power, or even if it was safe to use? The car currently boosts around 10-11 psi depending on temperature.  From what I can tell the pros are removal of stock restrictions (speed limiter, boost, fuel cut, etc.) and remapped AFR's.  My question is does anyone have any actual experience with these ECU's and how did they find them with respect to driveability?  Any comment on the 98 octane fuel vs. the 100 octane these were probably designed for? (When did 100 octane fuel become available in Japan?)  All I can find on the net are the power graphs on this site,

Has anyone put these units to the test? Dyno? Raced even?
If anyone has any experience/advice with these units at all it'd be appreciated :D

I have mine on eBay at the moment. I ran it in my ST185 for over a year. It definitely has a more aggressive ignition map as you can feel it pull harder in the mid range at light throttle. It also seems to be better up top though I have never done a back to back comparison. I'm selling it because I need the money to spend on the MR2 money pit

Thats good because im the buyer. -)
Hope it works without problems as i read that there is difference between rev1-rev2.

Ive swapped over the ecu's, its exactly what ive expected. Feels like factory ecu without any faults. In term of performance, you can definitely feel the improvements, runs leaner and smoother. Id say just by guessing its added extra 15% of power across the rev range. Red line is 8200 rpm which is quiet high... i think its better on fuel economy too but will have to confirm this as i only had it for few days. Also dont need the FCD anymore.

I believe these are best way to go for bolt on mods with ct20b. You invest 500 or so dollars, no tuning required. When you get over it wack the standard ecu and sell.

I used to have mines ecu in my r33 skyline and i was also very happy. pretty much same deal. After i blew the turbo i ended up going all out, pfc injectors, pump, air flow meter etc and i was never as happy as i was with mines, VALUE FOR MONEY that is.

I think the real gains here are (only) from the more combustible AFRs under boost. The JDM stock ECU was tuned for 100 octane so if you're using 98 on this, it would be far from ideal, as you wont be able to take advantage of timing benefits.

Agree, one of main benefits is leaner AFRs, but isnt that why we tune cars to begin with? Along with timing etc

Also, im using 100 octane in all of my cars from Liberty petrol stations.

There isn't much tuning to be done with the Blitz - plug and play! lol
I've looked in to getting one ages ago but didn't think it was worth the gains. Looking at one of these in the future which offers very flexible (tuning/AFM delete) and for only ~$200 more.

Been using a bit of United 100 on the stock ECU and noticed an improvement, but fuel economy worsened from the ethanol.
