What are the best lowering springs for a 91 mr2 on the stock shocks looking for a 1" drop to a 1.3" drop

I'm running TEIN S-Techs which are about 30mm front and 37mm rear. On 17" wheels they provide quite a nice drop.

King springs. Springs will have a weight rating, that determines there characteristics. If your lowering it to look good most branded springs are the go - just comes down to what you want to spend.

I have King springs that came with the car. It's bumpy on the road but better on the track.

Springs don't last forever, if they are old then they may need replacing (sag or become weak).
Bump control is a set up of your shocks, also the profile of your tyres. If you have stock shocks, lowered springs, and low profile say 40s, expect it to be bumpy.
Want less bump then get higher profile tyres, higher suspension, adjustable shocks/coilovers.

If a lower ride height is a priority, the only way to be sure of what you may end up with is to measure from the center of the wheel to under the fender arch of a car that has the same springs fitted that you intend to get, and compare that to what you have now, otherwise you may be disappointed.

Stock pre 11/91 SW20's ride about 3/4" higher than post 11/91 cars - very noticeable in the rear.
This makes it very hard to predict the drop you might get if you go by manufacturers claims for aftermarket SW20 lowering springs.

The car already has coilovers on it and I'd love to keep them but sadly they are not legal in sa
