Hi,

As you can see in the attachment, my "TWIN CAM 16 TURBO" decal has seen better days.

Has anyone replaced these stickers?   What's the safest way to get the old ones off?

I've seen this replacement decal on ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-MR2-Twin-Cam-16-Turbo-Side-Replacement-Decals-Stickers-any-colours-/160769793758?hash=item256ea05ede:m:mqdWfiiGh7urO1pQTfmu6eg

Has anyone used these?

Assistance, comments, guidance is gratefully welcomed.

Cheers

Hi col, yes mate I've purchased & installed those exact ones in the past. Great quality & fitted perfectly - very close to original ones.
Although i have only put them on original na side strips... so not sure how they would go covering over original decals.

Thanks Carmikey,

Good to have a reference for the new decals.  I won't put them on top of the old ones.  I'll carefully try to get the originals off with a hairdrier.

Col,  I don't think the originals are sticker / decals.. Mine on my original 96 are molded into the plastic.  Ill have a better look tonight though.

Pretty sure they are not a decal.
They look like it and could be painted directly onto the strip.

Thanks Carmikey and Blue 2,

Now for the next question, how to get that section of the trim off (so I can replace it)?  At the rear I can feel the retaining bolt inside the wheel arch, but how to get the front end off?  Does it just pull off or is there a hidden bolt?  Would you know?

Cheers

Theres two bolt / studs that need to be undone with a deep socket. Access from removing the plastic trim where the rear speaker and lower seat belt runs.
