My sincerest apologies to everyone who has posted here and PM'd me, I had no idea the thread would receive such a response and it was originally posted as an EOI.
That said, while I was gone I actually caved in and bought a BMW 135i in Perth which I take delivery of next week once it's been transported to Sydney.. so I'm now in a small hurry to sell the MR2.
Yesterday I re-connected the battery and took the car for a spin to make sure things were in order and have found two issues:
- visible split in silicon hosing which is leaking boost (these silicon hose connectors can be bought for roughly $20 each)
- the driver's side window needs to be guided by hand for the first 10cm when going up, otherwise it tries to go up on an angle. I'm not sure what the reason for this is as I'm unfamiliar with the mechanism, someone else may know better than me. The motor itself is fine, I think it's the regulator which guides it up?
To clarify on the dash, the entire instrument cluster was swapped by the original owner of the car as the original JDM one only goes to 180km/h but the Australian one goes to 260km/h. The car is an original JDM gen3 hardtop turbo, not a conversion.
