Not sure if this is interesting or not, but recent developments have been to replace a front wheel bearing, which set
the front toe- out enough to be visible. That's how bad the bearing was. Drove it for a day or 2, still something not right about the steering, so measured the distances between all 4 contact patches and found front left was about 5mm back. Increased the caster on the front left about 3 mm on the rod. Then 2 turns on each of the front tie rods to bring the toe-in. Drove to the servo for air and visible check the toe..."looks good, slightly toed-in". Took it for a drive on the Old Highway and OMG, different car, hooked hard round some of the bends, steered great and oodles of grip / confidence. Haven't checked the rear toe yet, that will be this weekend, but all in all I think it is nearly ready for its first track day. Woohoo.
