Model: AW10 MR2

Year: 1984 (MK1a - first generation)
Colour: Silver / White (two tone)
Kms: 205,000
Rego: XAG 917
Location: Adelaide, South Australia
History: Personal import

Modifications: 4age 20v blacktop conversion, 14” alloy mag wheels, supercharger tail lights, fibre glass engine lid

Overall condition: Very good for age

Additional Info:
Purchased it about 5yrs ago, has been garaged for the entire time, plans were to fully restore, but never got around to it.... the normal story! In say that, its near next on the list…..after my 2GR conversion is complete.
It runs, last registered in SA in 2012, near original condition other than aftermarket 14" mags, & engine lid (I do have a factory replacement although different colour), supercharger taillights.
Slight rust in rear drivers side wheel arch, only due to slight scrap / dent, a little few spots under the front bonnet, near fire wall, nothing of major concern.

As mentioned, car starts & runs, but has an engine knock, I suspect big end bearings, either way, rebuild or replacement engine would be required.
Cosmetically paint really good, requires good cut & polish, but would come up excellent in my opinion. (original as far as I'm aware)
Interior, all original, but missing gear knob. Glove box lid has cracks also some on the dash.
Have all original factory manuals, stereo manual etc.
I was planning on fixing myself, as a guess, I would suggest a few thousand needs to be thrown at it (mostly fixing the engine / mechanical) to make it a really nice little ride once again.

Other than the engine, TLC is all that’s needed to bring it back to life.
If you have any further questions happy to assist as best as possible.

Would make a nice project for restoration. GLWS i hope it doesn't get bought and parted out.

Being an AW10 (Budget 3A-U nugget), it's about as rare as they come.
Would have paid good cash for those manual winding doors 5 years ago if you had told me about this car :)

Hi Carmikey,
I have a contact in Adelaide, who has done a FIAT X-19 EV conversion.
He is an Electrical/Electronics Engineer.
PM if you want. It'll take me a day or so to find a 'phone number.
