Hi crew!

I am in the process of rebuilding my mk2 and have found the old D2 coilvers are shot so time to replace ! They were never that good anyway and would shake your fillings out. So has anyone here used Tiens or Cusco strest zeros ? Looking to track the car as well as being a daily driver. If I’m going to 2K on suspension I want it to be worth it.Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.

Hey mate, welcome to the forums.

Can't speak for coilovers because my car doesn't have them, but are you after coilovers for the adjustability? If not and you're after solid performance, most guys on the forums have Koni yellow strut inserts and lowering springs. I run Lovell springs in mine and they're awesome. Koni have a complete set of inserts and springs:

Otherwise other members have also run Bilstein B6's. They also come in a set.

Not sure if this helps, but good luck!

Thanks ! I’ll check them out. Still deciding if I need all that adjustability when I do the occasional track session.

Hi mate, just having a look around at the Lovell’s springs. Did you run with the sport lows ? I’m thinking the Koni yellows look the biz. Are the standard lowered Koni springs not as good ?

BC Coil-overs
Great product, offer all the adjustability (unlike some teins and others at same price point). Rebuildable. Available. Within your price range $1300-$1500.

Many race Mr2 will use upgraded stock suspension unless the owner wants the flexibility of changing ride height or vehicle dynamics based on race style.

Be aware; stock suspension is a set size. Coil-overs come in different widths etc depending on brand/design. Depending on your rims offset and size this can become an issue. On my recent Mr2 i changed from k-sport (came with the car) to BC, the front rims had clearance with ksports but touched the BC. So changed rims :)

Yeah but I think Lovell springs only come with SL's. The don't come in any other height as far as I'm aware.
Car sits great with these springs.

Can't comment on the Koni springs that come in the set because I've never owned them. Lovell springs are better than King springs by a mile if you've thought of them too.

Look up the fortune coilovers from america, seem to be some good reviews on them
