I have 2001 MR2 spyder which Ive had to replace the engine. I'm at the final stage of installing coolant to the system.
So I start pouring in the coolant and few seconds later i hear it leaking onto the the cement below. After a lot of difficulty finding where this leak is coming from, I discover its coming from the bypass pipe behind the inlet manifold.
Now the engine I used come from a corolla , exact same but I had to transfer some parts over that are specific to the mr2. One of these parts was the bypass pipe around the back of the engine .
I'm looking for help in tying to work out what connects to the pipe , As i can barely see anything in behind the engine due to the limited space. I'm after Photos or a detailed diagram or if someone can explain what it connects to that would be great.
Ive attached a photo showing the approximate location of the pipe outlet (behind the inlet manifold) , which is about 50mm long pointing straight down.
