Yeah, I was thinking that. I have hi temp aluminum paint.
I was also considering just putting in back in as is but not sure if it'll just rust over or not
All those parts are likely aluminium (except the heat shield) so will not rust but oxidise if you don't put some sort of clear coat on them. The heat shield will rust though if you took it down to bare metal.
At least with paint it hides imperfections from polishing etc.
