Hey mate,
Can i grab a couple of the cam stickers?

Posted off the stickers this afternoon!

To those waiting on Bathurst stickers - please know that I haven't forgotten. There have been many delays for one reason or another by the printing company and they are playing catch up.

Sticker Update 08/09/19:

It's currently unknown when the stickers will be back in stock. Due to issues/delays with the original printing company and technical limitations of other print suppliers for one reason or another. Main issue is printing on clear vinyl. The light colours are coming out transparent. I will keep pursuing.

Until then,

Joel

Lumix.  Can you PM the details of the SUPERCHARGER door decals?  Did you take the specs from an 86 Supercharger or a later model Supercharger?  I learned through research that the early Superchargers used a slightly smaller font and spacing and actually the door decal for an 86 Supercharger and some 87's is smaller in both height and width by a noticible amount when compared to a later model Supercharger AW11.  The trunk decals are also slightly different.

Also do your decals have the primary color, secondary color and a clear backing that is cut out just like factory?  You can just PM me with those details that would be great and I'd appreciate it!  thanks!

The primary reference vehicles were a 1986 & 1987 AW11 Two Tone Super Chargers.  If I had a larger AW11 sample size I would be able to confirm the sticker variations to year models and vehicle colours. However this is a task that will only happen with time.

You are correct, the door stickers could be different. The 1986 AW11 I took measurements off had two different sized stickers (maybe used a donor door from different year) as both looked to be original stickers but slightly different with the design and size. I have measurements for both sizes and designs. However the final stickers I printed are based on the longer door versions. The difference is noticable once you are aware of the size difference.

Small 'SUPER CHARGER' Door Sticker: Approx 391mm (L) x 33mm (H) excluded spacing between words
Larger 'SUPER CHARGER' Door sticker: Approx 440mm (L) x 28mm (H) excluding spacing between words

The versions I printed have a tri tone colour scheme that was evident on both cars, medium grey, light grey and dark grey. However the shorter door sticker only had two colours. I made a judgement call based on the remaining stickers that they should all have the tri tone colour scheme. I may have went slightly darker/more contrast on the colour shades.

The stickers are printed using clear vinyl, the cut outline is based on the reference stickers. I opted for a application mask to be applied over the top to help apply to the car. The only downside is the application mask collects dirt/dust due to it's tacky nature.

How can I remove the stickers without damaging the paint?

How can I remove the stickers without damaging the paint?

Is very easy, just take your time & use a flat blade. The hardest thing i found was once it had totally been removed, the old 30yr decal left a strain like on the paint, only way to remove that was to use a fine (2000) wet & dry paper, followed by a polish, then new decal could be installed.
