Well i got the tyres fitted today. :)
bit of stuffing about in the morning, but all good:

the new RE002's are very nice. same basic style as the 01's, but look much more aggressive. still nice and soft.. :)
also fitted the stickers and caps. went with the older style sticker that's used in the CR01 catalogue. wheels came with the newer style in black or white aswell...

then came to fitting. had no one to blame but myself - as they were exactly the size i'd imagined and ordered - but argh.. wish i hadn't gone so aggressive on the rear.
other than flaking off almost every bit of paint on my once-perfect rear guard lips (killed me..), they fit fine.
annoyingly, after a drive the right rear somehow managed to grab the lip again, and bent it back down a bit. then cutting into the top of the sidewall.
..It looks like ****.
Im going to try and clean up the tyre with a razorblade and sandpaper tomorrow, but i might just get another 205/50 put on. bit disappointing.

front and rear shots from this evening though, to show the 'mad-hellasick-stance' <_<
will take some more tomorrow.

overall, i like the look. not overly happy with the weird stretch on the rear tyres, as the high profile and mild stretch makes it somewhat rounded, but i imagine id get used to it. i wish id kept the sizes tamer and run a boxier tyre. maybe im just sour as my rear lips are now battered, and a new tyre allready looks ****. i dunno.
but yar.. grow on me etc. i remember when i got the GTS' wheels widened, it just took me bit to warm to it properly.

Looks nice, not as bad as I thought it would at all.  bugger about your guard lip clearance, can you roll them?

Cheers

Looks perfect - get the rear guards tucked and rolled a bit and it should be ok and prove to keep the wheels "inside" the wheel arch for legality. All it needs now is some boost :)

:)

well I spent the morning cleaning up the guards and the nackered tyre.
got onto the tyre with a wire brush, razorblade, and sandpaper to clean up the cutting. doesnt look toooooo bad now since there's no strings of fail hanging off, so i might just leave it. still disappointing, but happier...
as for the guards, they're now rolled almost around on themselves, so theres no chance of touching tyre again. took it for a progressivly hard drive this arvo, and it only touches with hard driving - and its not even bad. just lightly buffs the tyre. so happy enough there. :)

anyway, more pics. lots more pics... as always.
3 more taken the same time as the last ones posted yesterday...

...and some fresh ones from this evening.
generic carpark photos. these lights in particular are damn flattering.. (doncaster shoppo)...
also used a couple different lenses for once. gets some weird views.. :P

(sweet popped boot...)

theres more pics.. but it just gets more repetetive.. :S
either way... im happy.. :)

n jdmr288, i still have that HKS supercharger setup to go on..
no rush really.. but that ****'ll be fun..! :)

heh.. theres a whole lot i'd have to learn about taking pictures first! im still just trial and error.. and just take lots of photos.
interestingly, I've taken 2,637 photos this month! :)

havent had more than one in the car yet, but i have no doubt it will scrub.
i turned the shocks up a few clicks yesterday, and after a drive (and today to work) with just me in it its fine. obviously over harsher bumps/dips it will scuff the front liners (yes - they're still there...!) but the rears miss now. its great.. :)

Those are the best rims yet! However from reading this thread, I wouldn't be surprised if you had another set of rims on it before the year is out! :)!
